Omensight Coming To PS4 Alongside PC Release

Canadian game developer, Spearhead Games, announced that Omensight is set to release later this year. The game was originally set to come out on PC but it’s now scheduled to release on PS4 alongside its release on PC.

Spearhead will also be demonstrating Omensight’s gameplay at PAX East in Boston, Massachusetts.

The game is themed around an otherworldly being known as The Harbinger. Players will embody this character as an overseer of events themed around the murder of the priestess. Your objective is to manipulate time to find out exactly who killed the priestess in order to prevent the end times from taking place within the world of Urralia.

Omensight utilizes a fascinating reading on gameplay by allowing players to dive into the role of the Harbinger and accompanying a select number of characters through their journey into battle. Each character has their own quest and motivations, but one of them was responsible for the death of the priestess.

The objective is to unravel how the war unfolds and prevent the cataclysmic event that would bring ruin and devastation to the land, eventually ending the world.

Players also have the choice of fighting alongside or fighting against the cast of characters in the game, which is an interesting mechanic if it actually allows players to have the freedom that the description seems to boast.

Art-wise the game features a color-flirting palette of pastelics and neon glows, set against backdrops that imitate inked concept art. Upon first glance one might be inclined to think that they’re looking at a sequel or prequel to The Game Baker’s Furi, but alas Omensight is its own game.

The combat system is designed to be both sleek and stylish, allowing players to effortlessly blend into battle like bright blue ribbons fluttering weightlessly during a night time parade.

You can get a firsthand look at the game if you happen to drop by booth #17102 at PAX East this year, or you can keep track of the game by visiting the Steam store page.
