Injustice 2 Fighter Pack 3 Trailer Reveals Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

NetherRealm Studios released a new teaser trailer for the third fighter pack due out for Injustice 2. A surprising set of characters are making their way into DC’s super hero-themed fighting game, and it completely took the gaming community by storm because no one saw them coming.

The two minute trailer rolls out the revelation of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. You can check out the trailer below from MKIceandFire to see the turtles in a half shell kicking butt and taking names in Injustice 2.

The trailer starts with Black Mantis and Raiden getting beat up and then we see Atom and another lady fighting, and then we get to see the four turtles make their appearance.

I imagine changing their gear will swap between the four brothers since Michelangelo, Leonardo, Donatello, and Raphael are all considered one fighter at the end of the trailer. I’m really curious to know how they’ll fight? But one thing is for sure, I’m so, so, so glad that their design is based on the puppets from the 1990 live-action movie instead of those horrendous looking CGI monstrosities in Michael Bay’s reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. NetherRealm is doing right by the fans with that move.

The four turtles are a ways off from release, though. Atom will make his debut on December 12th as part of an early access test, followed by the full release of Injustice 2 on PC starting Novmeber 14th.

If you already bought the Injustice 2: Ultimate Edition you’ll automatically have access to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Atom and the other chick, but otherwise you’ll be able to grab them up in the Fighter Pack 3 DLC.

Fans are rightfully excited for the new additions to the game, but there are also plenty of people disappointed that Rorschach, Spawn, and Beast Boy weren’t added to the mix. A few people had to remind gamers that Beast Boy apparently died in the Injustice 2 timeline, but that still doesn’t rule out Spawn or Rorschach. But… maybe next time?
