One of the latest indie games to get a new Steam page comes Far-Flung Creations’ Infinite Desolation. The top-down shooter is currently in development and set to release on Early Access come April 1st, 2018.
Infinite Desolation takes top-down shooting, explosions, and location traveling into consideration in that all three are present in its gameplay trailer. Moreover, if weapon customization, finding a place to sleep, and battling an onslaught of enemies is your thing, you should keep an eye on this upcoming title:
“Heart pounding single or multiplayer action will have you on the edge of your seat. Slash through hordes of aliens and discover the reasons behind the destruction of your freighter. No holds barred. Survive.”
Two videos showing gameplay and what Infinite Desolation has to offer can be seen right here thanks to Far-Flung Creations.

In Infinite Desolation you can choose from one of five classes: Grunt, Psion, Scout, Engineer or Marine. While traveling desolate lands you can define your custom character using this thing called S.P.A.C.E — Strength, Psi, Agility, Cunning, and Endurance.
Opting to separate itself from other top-down shooters, Infinite Desolation has a day and night system that forces you to consider when and where to sleep. Additionally, you must explore dangerous environments to find oxygen, recover water, stock up on health packs, and discover safe havens that hold gear.
Speaking of discovering new stuff and roaming around to best your odds against death’s jaws, you can craft and build stuff from old wreckage to increase the chances of surviving a vicious horde or you can have a buddy tag along to help you out in co-op mode.
I should note that the game is a long ways off from releasing to the public, but given its long release date and progress made thus far, it could mean that it won’t have to spend as much time in Early Access when the time comes.
Anyway, more details on this game can be found over on Steam Early Access or farflunggames.com.
