Maximum Games and Team 6 Studios have announced that their open-world, motorcycle combat game, Road Rage, is currently available for purchase for $19.99 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
The game is a hardcore, over-the-top racing title that hearkens back to the days of Road Rash. You’ll select your rider, pick your bike, and take to the roads where you’ll smash, bash, and clash with other riders in a high-speed race toward the finish line.
The official launch trailer was let loose to give gamers a look at what’s featured in the game. You can check it out below.
The trailer is only a minute long and features a variety of different motorcycles, riders, and weapons on display as riders battle it out across an open-world city map.
The game features 90 different missions to complete, a variety of locations to visit, the ability to pull off big jumps, outrun the cops, bash other riders, and make some cash along the way.
Details on the game are surprisingly thin, with the only really major selling point being that as you complete more missions and win more races you can use your earnings to purchase a new bike or upgrade the performance on your current bike.
Beyond that the game is pretty much what you see is what you get, based on the description used in the press release.
It’s a budget-priced title so don’t expect too much out of it.
Of course, it would probably be best to wait for a few reviews from reputable gamers you trust or YouTubers you watch before diving in. It looks like a pretty fun game based on the trailer alone, but it’s tough to get a feel for the physics and the mechanics based on a trailer that’s not even a minute long.
If you’re a Road Rash fan then you’re probably geeked about this game being made available on home consoles and PC. It also joins Dark Seas Interactive’s Road Redemption, which also recently graduated from Early Access and launched on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Sadly no Switch version has been made available… yet.
