If you recall correctly, you will know that TendoGames announced their horror-survival game, Them and Us, was scheduled to release sometime in Q3 of this year (2018). Well, the game has been delayed to March 29th, 2019. The good news is that a free playable demo is live that you can download right now for PC via Steam.
If you have no clue as to what Them and Us the game is, no worries needed since the official description explaining the Resident Evil-like game that was once on Steam Greenlight sits below:
“The year is 1978 A lone bus, A terrible crash, out upon the old and winding dirt roads which skirt a vast American wilderness. A survivor. A young woman, her mind scarred by a life of tragedy, her name is Alicia. She is alone. She is injured. And around her, quietly, slowly, a surreal and deadly nightmare unfolds.
Fighting for her life, Alicia finds herself in the midst of events she does not understand- a ‘change’ taking grip on the world around her. It’s nature, it’s cause, unknown.
As night descends, as she pushes further into the unknown – Will she survive? Will you?”
In addition to the game’s mechanics and setup, Them and Us rocks a third-person camera and sometimes sports a “mixed camera view.” Blood and gore is a thing where you can fully dismember, cut, and send zombie limbs flying into the air.
Exploration and puzzle solving play an important role in this game, as well as surviving with limited resources. Crafting objects is a thing, too, but sneaking will play a useful role in cutting down on churning out ammo and health supplies.
According to TendoGames, Them and Us is a hardcore, survival horror game that focuses on atmosphere and player immersion. Do you feel the same way? You be the judge and check out the latest gameplay trailer here:
