Soul Calibur VI Reveals Siegfried As A Playable Fighter

It looks like the rumors pre-dating Siegfried’s appearance in Soul Calibur VI were right all along. Although the new fighter will also appear under Nightmare’s helmet when damaged, he will also be a fighter of his own in Soul Calibur VI.

Bandai Namco has come around with a new Soul Calibur VI trailer, a character trailer to be specific, which reveals Siegfried as a fighter on the roster of this year’s Soul Calibur outing.

The character fighting the nightmare that he, oh so, wishes not to succumb to will bring a beefy two handed sword to the field, attempting to release himself from the cursed sword’s grasp:

“I will not surrender to this nightmare!” Siegfried steps onto the stage of history wielding the massive Zweihander. He has but one reason to fight… to fully free himself from the cursed sword’s grasp!

The reveal trailer showing the hard hitter that is Siegfried can be viewed right here, which the video trailer by Bandai Namco runs for one minute and eight seconds.

If you haven’t noticed, Siegfried hones the ability to reach opponents with his large two handed sword or Zweihander. This will obviously make him a dangerous opponent, although he is offset with some slow attacks.

In addition to the above, the character is portrayed in Soul Calibur VI as a power and range type as opposed to speed, but he has some attacks that are a bit speedy, which makes him a perfect fit for those who wish to assume a subjectively formidable if not significant character.

Lastly, other characters rumored to be in the reveal pipeline are  Taki, Talim, Maxi, Cassandra, Astaroth, and Tira. Time will surely tell whether or not we will see those characters, but hopefully if they do show they show up in a noteworthy manner.

Soul Calibur VI is set to release this year and will be available to play across PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
