Originally featured on this site during its Steam Greenlight days is Yuppie Psycho, from publisher Another Indie and developer Baroque Decay. The game has been announced to appear on the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch this fall.
Steam Greenlight was known to be a magnet for some pretty bad games. Some of the titles on the now-defunct platform were asset flips, copy/paste titles, and scams designed to make a quick buck or two.
Every now and again, an actual game would show up on Steam Greenlight seeking votes and would pass the voting phase. One of these games is Yuppie Psycho, an adventure mystery title, which has found enough success to make it on the latest consoles and platforms.
If you have no clue how the once Greenlight game looks and what it has to offer gameplay wise, both the official description and reveal trailer from 2016 can be seen right here.
“Join Brian Pasternack on his first day at one of the world’s largest companies, Sintracorp. Uncertain, unprepared, and massively unqualified, will Pasternack have what it takes to shine in Sintracorp’s hierarchy? It all depends on how he performs on his first assignment… and whether he survives it.”
Furthermore, Yuppie Psycho follows Brian Pasternack on his first day at one of the world’s biggest companies: Sintracorp. Pasternack discovers that he must hunt a “witch” after participating in a strange orientation, leading him to find that the witch’s evil power established Sintracorp.
The catch is that the witch seems to have returned to torment the company’s employees, which includes Pasternack. Additionally, Pasternack will meet all kinds of odd characters in an attempt to stop the horrible acts committed and seeks to unravel the hidden secrets of Sintracorp’s dark past.
Yuppie Psycho will release for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch on October 31st, 2018. You can hit up steampowered.com or yuppiepsycho.com to learn more about this game.
