Folks who love to indulge in Escape from Tarkov will find that a new “major update” has gone live for the “hardcore and realistic” online first-person action RPG/Simulator. Dubbed 0.8.0.1208, the update for the game, which is currently in closed beta, is now live.
Indie dev team Battlestate Games have announced the release of a major Escape from Tarkov closed beta update not too long ago titled 0.8. The major update introduces a new map as well as improved game physics and network fixes.
You can see what update 0.8 has to offer, which is shown off through in-game footage with no commentary. The patch trailer comes in at a whopping four minutes and sits below thanks to Battlestate.
Battlestate Games announced over on escapefromtarkov.com that this update introduces the new Interchange map, bringing a modern and somewhat different flare to the game.
In addition to the Interchange map, highways and a huge shopping mall with stores and restaurants will be present. The new location is said to provide tactical experiences through CQB.
Also, along with a new location, update 0.8 introduces a new dealer that you can barter with: Ragman. This guy sells everything related to garments and equipment.
Looking over to portable hardware, or guns in laymen terms, weapons like the Springfield Armory M1A, Remington 870, AAR, APB and new models of AK including the 100-series, as well as numerous items for weapon modification are present in update 0.8.
Last but not least, more than 60 new gear and equipment items were added to the game via update 0.8, which includes bags and vests, body armors and helmets, weapon modifications, ammunition, medicine cases, hats, glasses, and balaclavas.
