Ubisoft Delays Far Cry 5 And The Crew 2

Ubisoft took to its official blog site to announce that Far Cry 5, The Crew 2 and another mysterious IP that is unknown at this point have been delayed. Far Cry 5 will no longer launch in next year’s February, and The Crew 2 will be pushed from its March 2018 launch date to a later time.

Far Cry 5 stirred up a lot of controversy when Ubisoft first announced it, but the same thing didn’t happen in regard to The Crew 2 announcement. For the open-world racing title, it only occasionally pops up every now and then in the news.

Well, both Ubisoft titles are now in the news for the same reason: a launch delay. Some folks may look at this being bad news while other look at it as being good news, but the truth behind it all is that both games will not release within their originally announced launch windows.

Starting with the mystery IP, which has not yet been revealed, it has been moved to “fiscal year 2019-20”.

Looking beyond whatever that mystery thing is, we have Ubisoft bringing folks news on blog.ubi.com  that The Crew 2 will not release on its previous March 16th, 2018 release, but will now debut later:

“The Crew 2 development team at Ivory Tower will use the next several months to perform additional playtests, gather player feedback, and continue working towards delivering an ambitious open-world racing experience that meets the team’s and our players’ expectations.”

As for Far Cry 5, the forthcoming title will no longer hit the gaming scene on February 27th, 2017. Now the first-person shooter open world game will launch on March 27, 2018:

“For Far Cry 5, the extra time will allow the team at Ubisoft Montreal to make some additional improvements that will bring the best, most ambitious Far Cry experience in line with the team’s original vision. We’re excited for fans to join the Resistance in Hope County, Montana against the Project at Eden’s Gate cult. Tune in to the Ubiblog tomorrow, December 8th at 10pm PST to get the newest look at Far Cry 5.”

If Far Cry 5 and its trailers have piqued your interest, you will be able to catch even more news on the game when Ubisoft goes up with its December 8th “look at Far Cry 5” event.

Further information on The Crew 2, and Far Cry 5 can be investigated by hitting up blog.ubi.com or the same place for more details on the latter title on December 8th at 10 P.M. PST.
