The Farm 51 has released World War 3’s Announcement trailer and it seems that gamers really enjoy what the game has to offer in-engine and gameplay wise. The upcoming tactical WW3 FPS game is set to release for PC via Steam this fall.
Already World War 3 seems to have found a place in a lot of disgruntled Battlefield folks’ heart who were disappointed in EA and DICE’s Battlefield V reveal. Comments on the announcement video spell that out frequently insofar that #ThatsMyBattlefield has spawned.
Furthermore, and something worth pointing out, way back in March or April a preview video showing actual gameplay of World War 3 was unveiled behind closed doors and a handful of Polish press members got to see the game in action. Many of the press members said the game looked like Battlefield 4, although I’d actually argue that this game looks more like Battlefield 3.
Anyway, you can read and watch both the official description and the announcement trailer right here thanks to World War 3’s YouTube channel:
“World War 3 is a multiplayer military FPS set in a modern, global conflict. Strong teamplay, national armed forces, real locations, full body awareness and a versatile customization system all contribute to the authenticity of the modern combat experience enhanced by other essential elements such as a robust ballistic system, advanced armors and life-like weapons. Produced in cooperation with military R&D centers and consultants, World War 3 shows the consequences of every battle in the context of a global war campaign on a strategic war map. Coming to Steam fall 2018.”
World War 3 so far has two modes announced, the first mode sees you capturing points with other team members while trying to stop your counterparts. The second mode is none other than a Battle Royale mode called “Battle Royale Recon.”
Taking a look back to the first game mode, it combines infantry and armored vehicles and drones for bigger and intense battles.
With that said, we’ll see if World War 3 can maintain #ThatsMyBattlefield status until more gameplay or footage arrives. However, we do know that The Farm 51 believes World War 3 will prove to be a hit among gamers.
