Jurassic World Evolution Dev Diary Touches On Maintaining Dinosaurs

Jurassic World Evolution is shaping up to release this year for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on June 12th. The initial release date is approaching very fast, but if you want to know what the dino park simulator has to offer at its core, publisher, and developer Frontier Developments has a new dev diary out explaining how to maintain dinosaurs.

If you want to have fun with gigantic beasts and have other people visit your exhibits, Jurassic World Evolution aims to fulfill that dream. You can pick and choose which dinos you want in your park, how you wish to treat them, and how you want to display the creatures of the past to the general public.

Of course, if you treat your dinos poorly, they will try to escape from the park. I’m sure you know what happens when there are free-roaming disgruntled dinos everywhere with scared civilians. This situation calls for tranquilizers to be the prime equalizer unless you want to see true carnage unleashed.

If the dino park simulator has your interest piqued, you can check out the newly published dev diary that happens to be the third entry in the series.

If you skimmed through the video and only caught bits and pieces, the video pretty much relays that it’s up to you to pick which dinosaurs you want to inhabit your park(s).

In addition to the above, some missions/contracts might have you researching certain genomes — by sending teams to dig sites to find fossils — so that you can find dinosaur DNA to create viable genomes.

The video also touches on how all dinosaurs in Jurassic World Evolution are driven by behavior and can be lethal to guests if they aren’t carefully watched. Moreover, you can also bioengineer new dinosaur breeds, and construct attractions, containment, and research facilities to grow your business.

With all of that said, Jurassic World Evolution is set to launch on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on June 12th.
