NIS America announced that The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 will launch exclusively on the PlayStation 4 in North America starting March 27th, and in Europe on March 30th.
The game was originally announced back in October of 2017, with NIS America revealing that the game would be heading West in early 2018. At the time we didn’t have details on when it would be arriving westward, but now we do.
The news about the release date accompanied a couple of brand new screenshots showcasing some of the gameplay, cinematics and the combat system.
The game centers around the Hundred Knight, who is accompanied by two sisters, a full-breasted agent of an organization who opposes witches, and the lolicon sister of the agent who has become possessed by a witch. The goal is to protect both sisters while attempting to find a way uncover the mystery behind young girls having witches awakening within them.
As the screenshots depicts, you’ll have to battle enemies using the Hundred Knight’s upgradeable skills, attached to the bumpers and the face buttons. You’ll need to tactically take down foes, and then work in between that time to craft new gear for the Knight.
The original The Witch and the Hundred Knight managed to carve out a small niche in the ever-crowded market of JRPGs, finding a home amongst those who valued raunchy humor and unbridled snark in their villainous protagonist.
The sequel appears to be much of the same as the first game, just with additional enemies to battle, more magic to wield, new skills to hone, and more items to collect.
It remains to be seen if the game will be as cutthroat with its content as the first game, but given the developers penchant to retain the art-style from the first game, hopefully it won’t disappoint.
As mentioned, you can look for The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 to arrive in North America and in Europe at the end of March.
