Brenon Holmes Slightly Touches On Anthem’s World Size, Social Hubs And EA

Anthem at the moment has garnered mixed reactions before it has even hit store shelves, which is understandable given that EA and BioWare are behind the upcoming “open world looter-shooter”. According to Brenon Holmes, Anthem’s technical design director, he slightly touches on the game’s world size, social hubs and EA involvement with the project.

Notice: The following information that YouTuber KackisHD has found via Brenon Holmes’ replies on Reddit aren’t a full indication as to how Anthem will be at launch. In other words, the game is prone to change and is not subject to follow any of the given information below at launch.

In recent times Brenon Holmes, who is currently working on Anthem, took to Reddit to answer some questions proposed by fans and gamers alike. Many wanted to know what Anthem will be like in regards to world size, social hubs and how much EA has involvement with the overall project. Regarding the world size, Holmes explains…

“[…] our areas are a fair bit larger [than Destiny 2]… but there will likely be some loads between some of the areas. We’re still figuring out the exact details on a lot of this stuff.”

You can get the direct information by asking Holmes more questions through the given link (above) or by watching the video by KackisHD right here.

While it seems that some people are looking forward to Anthem, it seems that some others aren’t too happy about the upcoming looter-shooter. Additionally, this separation comes from the glitches and issues found in EA and BioWare’s Mass Effect: Andromeda, and how EA and DICE’s Star Wars Battlefront 2 handled microtransactions — among other variables.

Lastly, Given that BioWare is working on new tech for map load times that’s in between Destiny and the Division, it’ll be interesting to see if the game will introduce something new, fail miserably or bring something we’ve already seen before?

Anthem has no official launch date as of this moment, but it is said that the game is slated for a Fall release for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
