My Time At Portia Enters Early Access, Coming Soon To Nintendo Switch

Team 17 and Pathea Games announced that after a lengthy development time and a crowdfunding phase, My Time At Portia has finally entered into Early Access on Steam for $19.99.

The game is themed after the visual presentation of Studio Ghibli movies, aiming to give gamers something pleasant to see and graphically engaging for people of all ages.

The theme of the game centers around traveling to a small island called Portia based on a handbook from your old man. You arrive at the port town to find that they’re in need of a workshop, and so you set out to build the biggest and best workshop imaginable. However, in order to build that workshop you’ll need tools, resources and a helping hand.

Thus, My Time At Portia sets players on an adventure where they venture around the town and beyond in order to acquire what’s needed to upgrade their place, fight off bad guys, and do a little bit of farming.

The game mixes in slice-of-life simulation with workshop management and hack-and-slash adventuring. You can see what the game is like with the Early Access trailer below.

And yes, the other big news is that Pathea Games is working with Team 17 to bring My Time At Portia to the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 later into 2018.

According to the Steam Early Access page they will spend an estimated nine months in additional development before the game is complete. They will need to add the end game content, new areas, new side quests, additional mini-games, more story content and the ability to both raise and ride farm animals.

So this means that you likely won’t be seeing My Time At Portia on the Nintendo Switch or PS4 until after October, later this year.

If you’re still interested in the game or you want to try out the free demo, you can do so by visiting the Steam store page.
