The controversial Battle Royale game that is The Culling will gain a sequel and will go by the name of The Culling 2. The game in question has sparked the usual disgruntled, excitement, and mixed emotions due to past actions of the development team Xaviant. However, the devs claim that The Culling 2 will not release in Early Access this time.
It’s likely that you’ve missed the announcement of The Culling 2, right? If so, there’s no need to be confused since the announcement was made during E3 2018, where a lot of stuff was going down at that point and time.
The announcement regarding the sequel to the 2017 released Battle Royale game can be found below, which was posted on The Culling 2’s Twitter account on June 14th, 2018.

Gamers and fans expressed different opinions, some people felt that the announcement of The Culling 2 is music to their ears, while other folks stressed that it’s a scam in the making.
In addition to the above, the latter point was further escalated due to a leaked video that surfaced not too long ago that shows The Culling 2 in action. The video footage resembles that of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, which you can see right here:

The video that sits above was taken down and then re-uploaded. However, the people who were able to view it stressed their concerns by saying that the game no longer looks like the original Culling, but opts for a camera and spawn setup exactly like PUBG.
It’s worth keeping in mind, though, that the video above may not represent the full game. However, during an interview director of operations, Josh Van Veld, told publication site PC Gamer that The Culling 2 will release to players “soon.” Van Veld also noted that the game will not launch through Early Access on Steam, so we’ll see how the second iteration pans out at launch.
With all of that said, what do you think of Xaviant announcing a sequel to The Culling? And do you think the second game will correct past mistakes or no?
