The Steam version of Dragon Marked For Death is gearing up for release on Steam April 21st, 2020. The four-player co-op action title originally launched on the Nintendo Switch back in 2019 from Inti Creates and Nighthawk Interactive. But if you don’t own a console and would prefer to play the game on PC, you can grab a digital copy at the end of the month.
Dragon Marked For Death has a somewhat complex story centering around the surviving warriors of the Dragonblood Clan, seeking to take revenge on the kingdom of Medius for capturing the Dragonblood Oracle.
The remaining survivors forge a pact with the Astral Dragon in exchange for special powers to take revenge against the Medius.
The gameplay centers around the four playable Dragonblood members, each with their own unique powers and abilities. You can check out the trailer below, which outlines the powers of each character.
Empress is the power character of the group, allowing users to unleash powerful attacks with the sword and traverse the environment using the grappling hook.
The Warrior is capable of absorbing damage and then dispensing it as damage against the enemies. The Warrior is a bit slow compared to the empress but the heavy-handed axe can knock over obstructions blocking paths in the level, as well as stun enemies with charged attacks.
The Shinobi relies on fast strikes and kick combos. He’s also also capable of scaling the environment with wall-hops.
Last but not least is the Witch, who can heal teammates while in a party along with doling out high-impact magic attacks. It’s cool that the Witch has the ability to chain magic spells as well as combine spells together to create unique attacks or debuffs.
Dragon Marked For Death is currently available over on the Nintendo eShop for $14.99, or you can look to pick up a copy of the game on PC from the Steam store at the end of the month.
The big difference between the two is that the Steam version features online co-op for up to four players, but the Switch version features both local wireless four-player co-op and online co-op.
