No Guns Life Anime Second Season Delayed Due To Coronavirus

The second season for Madhouse Entertainment’s No Guns Life has been postponed due to coronavirus. The news was rolled out via a tweet made by the official account on April 7th, 2020, informing fans that the new start date of the second season will be announced shortly.

Anime Intelligence & Research posted up a tweet about the delay, translating the general gist of the multi-threaded tweet for English speakers.

As mentioned in the original tweet, the anime was supposed to have its second season go live on April 9th, 2020.

However, due to the coronavirus, the first episode of the second season is now up in the air and delayed indefinitely until a new date is verified.

This also affected the scheduled release for the boxed set of DVD and Blu-rays for No Guns Life, specifically boxed sets three and four as well as volumes five through eight.

A lot of fans were definitely disappointed in the news, since this is one of the few anime that have come out in recent times that really dives into the hard-boiled sci-fi grit of old.

If you’re unfamiliar with the cyber-noir anime, you can check out the trailer below to get an idea of what the world and characters are like.

While majority of Corona-chan’s victims are Social Justice-oriented tripe, a few of the victims are beloved series, franchises, and upcoming movies that real fans were looking forward to, such as Kyoto Animation’s Violet Evergarden movie, which sadly had its theatrical release in Japan postponed.

You’ll have to either keep an eye on the official No Guns Life Twitter account for news on the new start date for the second season, or follow the news tab on the official website to get a heads-up on when the second season goes live.
