It looks like a new report is up claiming that the former PlatinumGames CEO Tatsuya Minami and his team M-Two are working on a new remake for Capcom. This new project is reportedly going to be “large” and will be developed by M-Two and backed by Capcom.
Back on December 10th, 2020, website videogameschronicle.com reported that the former PlatinumGames CEO, in a way, returned to Capcom to start a new company — M-Two.
As of recent, the publication site carefully looked over Capcom’s Resident Evil 3 Remake and its credits and found that it names a handful of M-Two employees, including designer Tsutomu Teranishi, who worked with Minami on the Mega Man series — as well as a couple of ex-PlatinumGames devs.
Although this new company has assisted Capcom with Resident Evil 3 Remake, it looks like the partnership between the two is far from over.
While M-Two was primarily an assist or support studio for Resident Evil 3 Remake, publication site videogameschronicle.com understands M-Two is currently working as the primary developer on a “larger remake project for Capcom.”
According to Twitter user Nibel, who happens to be in the know of game-related rumors and leaks, claims that an inside source says this new remake isn’t related to Dino Crisis or Code Veronica:

Like always, the above information may be a rumor, so take it with a grain of salt. However, it looks like if everything is true, we might see a new large-scale remake from Capcom and M-Two sometime in the year 2022.
