GOG.com Offers Over 25 Free Games As Part Of Spring Sale

Between now and March 30th, you’ll be able to download more than 25 free games being offered up over on the GOG.com store. Many of the games are classic titles from the yesteryears, including one of Epic Games’ iconic platformers from the early 1990s… Jill of the Jungle.

Over on the GOG.com Stay at Home promotional page they list off the games available as part of the spring sale, which will run up through March 30th.

Some of the notable entries on the list include one of my all time favorites, Bio Menace, which was very similar to Duke Nukem 2. You basically played Yanni running around with a Tec-9 during a mutant apocalypse.

Another neat game on the list is Beneath a Steel Sky for those of you who enjoy point-and-click adventure games. It’s a classic and oftentimes overlooked title from the 1990s that really captured the future sci-fi aesthetic in pixelated form.

There’s also the prologue of Alder’s Blood, which recently released on the Nintendo Switch. If you were curious about the Victorian-themed, stealth-oriented tactical-turn based game, you can grab the prologue from GOG.com for free.

The Brotherhood’s Cayne, is also available for free. It’s a spin-off story based on their sci-fi horror point-and-click title, Stasis.

Cayne is actually a pretty interesting, albeit short, horror-adventure that’s worth exploring. It takes some twists and turns you absolutely will not see coming, and if you’re into Lovecraftian body-horror you might get a kick out of it. And yes, it stars a female protagonist, but she’s not one of those “stronk wahmen who don’t need no man” stereotypes. All I’m going to say is, play it through to the end… it’s quite the shocker.

And speaking of shockers… it’s shocking to see a title like Lure of the Temptress pop up in the list. It’s an old game from 1992 and hearkens back to the kind of gameplay only PCs could offer at the time, not unlike Sierra’s Quest For Glory series. It’s cool sword and sorcery tale worth checking out if you’re into classic hero tales set in a medival-fantasy universe.

A few other notable games include Postal and Sang-Froid: Tales of Werewolves.

Hello Neighbor’s alpha is also part of the line-up, along with GWENT and two Ultima games, including Ultima 4: Quest of the Avatar and Ultima: Worlds of Adventure 2. If any of the games catch your fancy you can grab them now for free before March 30th.
