A Street Cat’s Tale Lands On Nintendo Switch March 12th

Feemodev released a trailer indicating that the pixelated sandbox survival game where you play as a young kitten in the big city is set to arrive on the Nintendo Switch this March. More specifically, the game will be available March 12th.

The story is pretty simple: you take on the role of a young kitten who has been abandoned and left to fend for itself in the city. The urban sprawl is filled with both dangers and opportunities, and it’s up to the player to guide the hungry young kitten to food, shelter, and friendly faces.

While it might sound simple, the cat’s hunger never ceases and you’ll have to race against the clock to prevent the young fur-ball from starving to death.

Beyond dealing with the hunger issue, players will also have to interact with various NPCs, each with their own personalities and quirks. Some will help you, some will simply want to talk, others will see you as a pest.

Depending on who you interact with and what actions you take, you can unlock one of the 11 different endings in the game.

The main goal is to survive until the baby kitten becomes an adult, but things may not always turn out as you intended.

A Street Cat’s Tale originally came out for Android devices as well as on Steam for PC last year near the fall. The game making its way to the Nintendo Switch seems like a common sense thing given that slice of life sims seem quite popular on Nintendo devices, and the retro 16-bit, Eartbound-look is bound to appeal to fans of old SNES games.

To be completely honest this isn’t a game I would ever pick up for the Switch, but then again I’m not into games like Animal Crossing either and those things seem to sell like crazy. So maybe there’s a market for something like this after all.

As mentioned at the top of the article, you can look for A Street Cat’s Tale to arrive on the Nintendo Switch starting March 12th.
