Stadia Attempts To Stay Relevant By Releasing Over 10 Timed Exclusives Games This Year

Google isn’t giving up on Stadia just yet. Despite the service gearing up to join its 194 dead siblings, Google is taking the Epic Games Store route by snagging various video games on the market as “timed exclusives.” This act will take place in the first half of 2020.

According to a Google PR person, this move of securing multiple titles as timed exclusives will “help the service” in question. Although last I checked, the Epic Games Store came under fire for doing so, but I guess anti-consumer minded people think alike.

Anyway, thanks to website gamingbolt.com, we learn that Stadia will have a plethora of games releasing throughout the year. The publication site sourced a Google PR person saying the following:

“Looking at our upcoming lineup, we are tracking more than 120 games coming to Stadia in 2020, and are targeting more than 10 games in the first half of this year alone that will be only available on Stadia when they launch. We’re working with our partners to share more on those games soon.”

In other words, folks can expect 120 games to drop throughout 2020. However, the important questions that need answering are, will Stadia be alive by then? Will these games resemble trash? And will gamers really see more than 100 games drop on the anti-consumer platform known as Stadia?

While we wait for answers, no word has surfaced as of this moment regarding the ten timed exclusives. I’m guessing Tequila Works, the devs behind RiME, next game Gylt will be one of the ten, but time will tell.

Lastly, 2020 is said to be a big year for Stadia according to the PR person. In all honesty, it will be a big year for both Google and Stadia if the latter can survive longer then a year without dying due to a lack of shills.
