Gladiux, 3D Hack-And-Slash Gladiator Game Coming To Consoles, PC In 2020

Starcaster Games has a bloody new 3D fighting game in the works called Gladiux. The title puts players in the role of a gladiator fighting for fame and freedom, with spoils and glory to steal in abundance if victory can be grabbed and savored during the the clash of steel and the pounding of flesh within the walls of the Coliseum.

The Unreal Engine 4-powered game allows you to create your own gladiator, train them up, and then take them into battle.

Unlike other gladiatorial games where you usually just battle it out with swords and axes, Gladiux allows you to duke it out with your fists and feet as well. You can get a glimpse of what the gameplay is like with the teaser trailer below.

The game allows you to perform a lot of the same kind of sword attacks, strikes, slashes, and sweeps common during the Roman rule.

This includes plenty of overhand stab attacks to get around shield blocks, or dropkicking an opponent to reduce their defenses.

It looks like the game will allow you to fight freely in cordoned off arenas against one or more opponents, so it’s more like Die By The Sword or Mount & Blade than Soul Calibur.

Keep in mind that Gladiux still looks kind of rough around the edges, but I like that the men look like men, the women look like women, and the developers aren’t afraid of gore and cleavage.

In a time where we’re seeing increasing amounts of censorship nearly across the board, it’s good to see that some developers are still willing to push forward with catering their content toward people who actually buy video games.

Starcaster Games has plans on releasing Gladiux on home consoles and PC at some point throughout 2020.

You can keep track of the development of this new 3D fighting game by visiting the official Gladiux website.
