New Guilty Gear Axl Trailer Teases Playable Demo

Arc System Works released a new trailer for the upcoming 2020 release of Guilty Gear. The trailer dropped during the Southeast Asia Majors, revealing Axl as the latest playable pugilist to join the ever-expanding roster of Arc System Works’ new fighter.

The trailer – like all the other trailers that came before it – is only just under a minute long, featuring some of Axl’s basic attacks, his combos, neutrals, and special moves.

Axl’s chained sickles make a return to form, as he can chain together combination attacks that not only throw off his opponents, but allow him to mix high and lows, making it difficult to counter or block.

You can check out the trailer below.

Halfway through the trailer we get a nice little reveal that a playable demo will also be available featuring Sol, Ky, May, Axl and two others.

I’m sure we’ll learn more about the demo during the next trailer, which is promoted as gearing up for its inevitable drop on November 3rd, 2019 next month.

Later into November Arc System Works will also bring the new Guilty Gear to UC Irvine FGC tournament set to take place between November 16th and November 17th.

So fans of Guilty Gear will definitely get a lot of the game throughout November, with a demo set to arrive at some point before 2019 is out.

Unfortunately they don’t say exactly what platforms the demo will be available for but I imagine PlayStation 4 owners will be on the short list.

There aren’t many fighting games set to come out in 2020 so Arc System Works can take their time and slowly build hype for the game leading into next year. That’s also not to mention that the only other notable fighting game is also being made by Arc System Works in the form of Granblue Fantasy: Versus, so they’ll be running roughshod over the fighting game genre next year.
