New Bethesda Job Listing Rumored To Be For The Elder Scrolls 6

A new job listing has appeared on Bethesda Game Studios parent company’s official website, which can be found on Zenimax job listings and career section. The new job listing of a Build/Tools Engineer is currently rumored to be tied with The Elder Scrolls 6 due to the job being associated with a triple-A title by Bethesda.

Notice: Please do take this information with a grain of salt seeing that there is no direct indication that this very job is linked to The Elder Scrolls 6. However, due to a long running rumor by fans of the series, many people believe that the upcoming triple-A title by Bethesda is the Elder Scrolls 6 and that this new job listing is hinting at the RPG’s development.

According to publication site Blastingnews, it is believed the latest job listing that Bethesda has up on Zenimax’s job listing section showing interest in a Build/Tools Engineer is linked to The Elder Scrolls 6. You can read what the job listing has to say and whether it seems like it is related to the upcoming Elder Scrolls title:

“Bethesda Game Studios is seeking a qualified Build/Tools Engineer for our team. The successful candidate will have knowledge of and experience in the design, implementation and continuing support of cross platform build systems, continuous integration build systems, automated testing, automated performance measurement and trending, profiling tools, patching systems, asset dependency and packaging systems, multiple branched environments, and source control integration. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work on game code/systems to support our initiatives to create a AAA development environment.”

Fans who follow every move of the publisher and developer over the ongoing fantasy RPG series, point to the new job to be correlated with The Elder Scrolls 6. However, something worth keeping in mind is that even if this job listing is for the upcoming Elder Scrolls game, it is going to be a long ways before gamers can get their hands on the title.

In addition to the above, Bethesda Game Creator Todd Howard had said during E3 2016 that The Elder Scrolls 6 is a long way off from being released, as publicized by Forbes. The publication site revealed that Howard said the sixth game is “relatively low on Bethesda’s to-do list and not even in development officially at this point.”

Lastly, publication site Segmentnext noted that Pete Hines confirmed that two big projects are underway and when they’re released that’s when The Elder Scrolls 6 will go into development. Well, the two big projects are noted to be Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus and Quake Champions, the former is to release on October 27th and the latter is slated to release this year (2017).

What is a fact at this moment is that Bethesda is expanding its pool of developers so that work on the next triple-A or major title will have enough heads to tackle whatever comes its way. If you want more information on the job listing you can visit jobs.zenimax.com.
