GOG.com Adds 8 SNK Neo Geo, Arcade Classics To Catalog

GOG.com and SNK announced that many of the classic Neo Geo and arcade classics are currently available for purchase right now on GOG.com along with some massive discounts on SNK’s library on the DRM-free digital distribution outlet, with up to 75% off on the catalog of titles.

The eight new arrivals to GOG.com includes Sengoku 3, Real Bout Fatal Fury 2, Art of Fighting 2, Neo Turf Masters, Garou: Mark of the Wolves, Shock Troopers 2nd Squad, Ironclad and Pulstar.

I used to play Garou quite a bit. Terry seemed at his most badass in that one. I wasn’t too keen on Kim having met his end at the hands of Freeman, but there was a ton of potential with Terry having taken Rock under his wing and training him to not be like his father Geese Howard.

Also, it’s nice to see some love being shown to Sengoku 3, it really is one of the more underrated hack-and-slash beat-’em-ups from the Neo Geo library.

Shock Troopers 2 is another underrated gem, sporting awesome graphics and isometric gameplay that was above and beyond anything that was out at the time on competing consoles. It also still holds up to this day, showcasing that SNK really was ahead of the curve in many ways back in the 1990s.

In addition to the eight classic games joining the GOG.com library of DRM-free games, there’s also a sale on all things SNK, ranging from 50% off to 75% off on the SNK fighter pack, action pack, and arcade pack, which includes Metal Slug games, Samurai Shodown, Fatal Fury and the King of Fighters.

You’ll only have up until October 9th to get your hands on the discounts, which sees a ton of really awesome games available for as little as $1.49. You can grab some SNK games for cheap right now by visiting the GOG.com store page.
