Parkasaurus, Low-Poly Jurassic Park Sim To Hit Steam Early 2018

Not quite like Jurassic Park, but WashBear’s low-poly Parkasaurus game sees you playing from a top-down or first-person perspective in an attempt to run a park filled with dinosaurs that can escape. The PC game is set to hit Steam Early Access Spring of 2018.

The Jurassic Park aspect of Parkasaurus revolves around maintaining your park and making sure that people visually-touring your dinos are pleased. However your dinos can also escape if they are mistreated or feeling confined, opting for guards to come out and handle them appropriately.

At Parkasaurus’ core, though, it is a top-down simulator that at times sports first-person moments. The game’s low-poly look will remind some of Minecraft or something, but the gameplay heavily centers around the basic simulation stuff:

“Parkasaurus challenges the player to plan, design, and construct their own dinosaur theme park. Starting with only a dream and an abandoned park the player will discover new technologies, new attractions, and a special bond with all their Dinosaurs!”

You can check out the new announcement trailer below.

As seen in the above trailer, each dinosaur requires a unique biosphere, which means the shape of exhibit, materials used, ecology, plants, elevation and humidity all play a huge role in your dinos’ lifespan.

As for people and reception, the player must read reviews and observe guests, fine tune the flow and arrangement of the theme park to maximize the happiness of guests and dinos.

Parkasaurus sports an employee management system, as well as different weather situations. The named things that must be dealt with can also lead to chaotic Dino behavior.

The graphics and light-hearted theme of Parkasaurus may seem like a turn-off for some. However if you are into simulators and watching various outcomes play out regarding dinosaurs, this game might be something worth checking out.

You can learn more about Parkasaurus by hitting up its newly posted Steam Early Access page or its official website parkasaurusgame.
