Bandai Namco and From Software have announced Dark Souls Remastered. The new version of the game will let players and fans alike explore the land of Lordran across Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One, and Xbox One X.

That’s right, if you haven’t played the original game or if it’s been a long time since you popped in your copy, you can delve into the critically acclaimed world of Dark Souls in an “upscaled” and “dynamic” way unlike before.

Here’s the notice that Bandai Namco sent out explaining Dark Souls Remastered:

“Developed by FromSoftware Inc., DARK SOULS: REMASTERED enables players to explore the twisted ancient land of Lordran in the first title of the critically acclaimed action role-playing series like never before. Experience the rich world of DARK SOULS in Dynamic 4K resolution when playing on a PlayStation 4 Pro system, Xbox One X, and STEAM. From their first timid steps to absolute mastery, players will build their characters by strategically adapting to daunting foes, exploring haunting locations, and amassing a large collection of weapons, armor, and magic spells to wield for a truly unique playstyle.”

The action-adventure RPG remaster will sport resolution and frame rate upgrades, and if you want to see what each platform has to offer regarding resolution and frame rate a new list has you covered.

After those specs were released by Bandai Namco, a new video has been posted by the company that stands as an announcement trailer.

Again, Dark Souls Remastered is set to come out for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One, and Xbox One X. The remastered game will launch in Japan on May 24th, and on May 25th across the West.
