Ori And The Will Of The Wisps Devs Are Working On An Action-RPG, As Per Report

From the makers of Ori and the Blind Forest and the upcoming Ori and the Will of the Wisps comes a new job listing from Moon Studios looking for a senior designer to help with a new action RPG. As of now, the job listing that acts like it has a chip on its shoulder offers no other details on this ARPG, aside from letting gamers know that Moon Studios is working on something new.

Thanks to videogameschronicle.com, we learn that the studio, Moon Studio, that was formed in 2010 by Thomas Mahler (former cinematic artist at Blizzard) and Gennadiy Korol (former senior graphics engineer at Animation Lab) is putting out “senior designer” job listings for a brand new project.

All that’s currently known about this new game is that the Austrian team wants to go “far beyond” what the ARPG genre has offered players so far. Also, the job listing claims to “revolutionize the ARPG genre” after “redefining the Metroidvania genre with the Ori series.”

With that said, here are some of the highlights on the job listing for this new action RPG:

“Life is too short to deal with Prima Donnas: You’re cool, open-minded and always willing to learn new things.

Unhappy with the current state of the industry? Every person at Moon Studios has a voice and can help shape the games we’re making.

Individuals who believe in collaboration – We work together as a team, as a family, to challenge the status quo and raise the bar!

Contrary to other AAA studios, our goal is to remain a comparatively small studio made of elite talent. We strive to only hire the absolute best talent in the industry and encourage them to further grow their skills with us.

Join our community, inspire us, and be inspired!”

Not too long ago, a person named Styger noted that Microsoft wouldn’t try to buy a studio with only 80 devs working remotely. In response to that, Mahler had this to say:

“Why Not?

We had quite a few acquisition offers in the past, but since we’re all insanely confident that our unannounced title will become a pretty big thing, it wouldn’t have made any sense to even think about that. And I just like the studio being independent. We can’t allow ourselves to become complacent. Gotta Stay hungry and be able to maneuver fast :)”

What’s known right now is that the devs are going to ship Ori and the Will of the Wisps first and then later drop whatever this “big ARPG” is later.

Like always, I’m sure E3 2020 or some other time during early 2020 will play host to this new project by Moon Studios. In the meantime, you can learn more about the aforementioned by paying website videogameschronicle.com a visit.
