It looks like CD Projekt Red is the second biggest company in Europe after Ubisoft as per new reports. The company’s market value has jumped from $6.8 billion to over $8 billion, and it looks like a large portion of that success can be attributed to The Witcher.
As of today, CDPR has released a tweet thanking fans for helping the company reach a new milestone, which the tweet in question sits below:
The accumulated revenue from sales of The Witcher 3 on @Steam platform for the period of time between October 1st 2018 and today has exceeded 50M USD. As a result, we are now getting 80% on any subsequent sales of TW3 on Steam.

According to both PCGamer (web.archive.org) and DSOG, it looks like the company is now valued at over $8 billion. As mentioned above, the company’s market value once sat at $6.8 billion not too long ago, which means the Polish company is the second-largest video game company in Europe.
The first would be the French giant known as Ubisoft, accounting for $9.6 billion in market value.
Aside from Ubisoft being the biggest European video game company and CDPR seeing a sales boost when it comes to The Witcher games by 554%, the game that’s been in hot water as of late, Cyberpunk 2077, is back in the news.
The game featuring a lot of current year content will make use of the Xbox Team’s “Smart Delivery.” In other words, if you buy the upcoming controversial game on Xbox One, you won’t have to buy it again if you want to play the “upgraded version” on the Xbox Series X:
Gamers should never be forced to purchase the same game twice or pay for upgrades. Owners of #Cyberpunk2077 for Xbox One will receive the Xbox Series X upgrade for free when available. https://t.co/nfkfFLj85w

Lastly, CDPR is looking for diverse devs to help out on Cyberpunk 2077‘s development alongside Qloc, which means you can expect the sci-fi RPG to become available across PC and home consoles on September 17th, 2020.
