Hideo Kojima Teases Concept On New Title, According To Report

Way back on December 25th, 2019, Hideo Kojima teased that he was working on a new project. Despite the coronavirus causing complications at the office in late March 2020, Kojima continued to work on this new concept/title but then stopped teasing it for some time. As of now, a new report claims that Kojima has started teasing this new project once again.

Although Kojima has said on multiple occasions that he would like to make a horror game, it’s unclear if he will make a new IP or a movie. Moreover, if Kojima ever revisited Death Stranding, it’s been made clear that work on the game would “start from zero.”

Nevertheless, website gamingbolt.com reports on a new duo of tweets that detail how Kojima goes about fleshing out this new title with art director Yoji Shinkawa.

You can view the two tweets right here:

If you can’t read or see the tweets, Kojima makes mention of designing this “new title” with Shinkawa by first discussing the setting for each character, the background, the world, the color, the characteristics, the roles, the images, ideas, and keywords.

In addition to the above, both Kojima and Shinkawa shared ideas back and forth via email while working from home, which lasted around 20 minutes in time.

Lastly, both images in the two tweets showcase pieces of paper with ships on them that read “Landing Ship” and “Bridges.”

As stated many times before, no matter if this upcoming title by Kojima is a horror game, a new IP, or a movie, it is certain that he’s working on a new project.
