Nintendo’s 2017 racing game best known as Mario Kart 8: Deluxe has topped the UK Charts. Trailed by games like Ring Fit Adventure and FIFA 20, no new games are in the top three, let alone the top five on said chart.
Games from two months ago or even last month don’t seem to hold enough appeal to stay in the top ten games on the UK Charts. In other words, old games that released last year (or for that matter years ago) are giving new games a run for their money.
As seen below, for two weeks in a row, there aren’t even “New” entries on the following list. However, the typical games like FIFA 20, Grand Theft Auto V, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare remain staple entries on the list. Besides those three old games, no new games are challenging the 2017 chart-topping Mario Kart 8: Deluxe.

It’s worth noting that the first number above represents last week’s placement. The second number serves as this week’s placement, and (although not listed on this week’s chart) “New” stands for a new entry.
Moreover, the statistics that make up the numbers for the UK Charts do not include digital copies. In other words, if someone obtains a game from a digital client (like Steam or the Nintendo eShop), those numbers will not be added/included — only physical sales count.
