If you’ve been in the mood for some Japanese turn-based strategy games, you’re in luck because NIS America announced that Disgaea 4 Complete+ will be making its way to PC soon.
Specifically, NIS America has plans on releasing Disgaea 4 Complete+ on Steam and via the Game Pass for Windows.
The announcement was rolled out with a two minute long trailer highlighting both the absurd story and all of the ridiculous and over-the-top action associated with turn-based combat. You can check it out below.
Disgaea 4 originally came out way back in 2011 on the PS3 and later in 2014 for the PS Vita, just before Sony abandoned their little handheld like a redheaded stepchild on a farm in South Africa.
However, Nippon Ichi gave the title a little extra tender, love and care and re-released it late last year as Disgaea 4 Complete for both the Nintendo Switch and the PlayStation 4, offering gamers updated visuals, true HD support (or UHD if you have a 4K monitor and plan on getting the game on PC), and a lot of basic quality of life improvements.
It’s weird that they decided to put Disgaea 4 Complete+ on PC before Disgaea 3 or the vanilla version of Disgaea 4. In fact, they oddly have Disgaea, Disgaea 2 and Disgaea 5 all available over on the Steam store. So once they get Disgaea 4 Complete+ on there, the only title in the series that would be missing would be the third game.
It’s very likely that NIS America will attempt to complete the series given that there’s a lot more money to be made if they lure people in with selling the complete bundle pack rather than scattered offerings of the franchise.
Anyway, you can look for Disgaea 4 Complete+ to make its way to Steam and Game Pass this fall.
