Holding the top spot for the second week in a row comes Sony and Sucker Punch Productions’ PS4 exclusive Ghost of Tsushima. Although the game on the UK physical charts faced a 68% drop in sales week-over-week, the game seems to be beating out its counterparts on said chart as of the week ending July 25th, 2020.
While The Last of Us: Part 2 sinks down the UK sales chart for yet another week, it looks like Ghost of Tsushima holds the top spot despite losing over 60% of its sales week-over-week.
And on the topic of The Last of Us: Part 2, the game has fallen from rank five to rank six in one week, and is now overshadowed by Ghost of Tsushima, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, F1 2020, Paper Mario: The Origami King, and Mario Kart 8: Deluxe.
Anyway, you can check out the top ten games that are currently on the UK chart for the week ending July 25th courtesy of gamesindustry.biz:
Last Week | This Week | Games |
---|---|---|
1 | 1 | Ghost of Tsushima |
4 | 2 | Animal Crossing: New Horizons |
3 | 3 | F1 2020 |
2 | 4 | Paper Mario: The Origami King |
6 | 5 | Mario Kart 8: Deluxe |
5 | 6 | The Last of Us: Part 2 |
8 | 7 | Minecraft Switch Edition |
7 | 8 | Grand Theft Auto V |
12 | 9 | Forza Horizon 4 |
20 | 10 | Ring Fit Adventure |
As always, the first number represents last week’s placement, and the second number serves as this week’s placement. Although they aren’t here, “New” stands for a new entry on the above list while “Re-entry” means a title that has returned on the top ten list.
At this point, it wouldn’t be shocking to see The Last of Us: Part 2 drop off the charts in the next few weeks. However, it’s going to be interesting to see how well Neil Druckmann and Halley Gross’ abomination fairs on the U.S. NPD Group sales chart when August rolls around.
Lastly, Ghost of Tsushima is currently available to pick up right now for PS4.
