Foxin’ Wins has been a popular NextGen slot for a while now, so it’s unsurprising to see the company decide to create a Christmas edition for 2021. The Fox is the Wild symbol in this game and hitting two on any active payline can lead to an impressive win forming. The only symbol the Fox doesn’t replace is of course the Scatter symbol – this is a common feature of most slots, and games with wilds which count as Scatter’s are few and far between.

Unfortunately, the RTP is a little lower on this one – between 95.223% and 95.618%, depending on if you choose to play the Super Bet or not. That’s not a lot of difference, to be fair, but despite the low difference in RTP, the Super Bet feature does seem to add a lot to the gameplay of Foxin Wins: A Very Foxin’ Christmas.

The Super Bet, by the way, is an additional wager that you can adjust at the side of the reels. Turning the Super Bet to mode 1 adds a Fox Pup to reels two and four – you already get one on the third reel, with or without the Super Bet. Increase the Super Bet to mode 2 and you’ll be paying $0.50 coins per spin at the minimum, but you’ll also get a Fox Pup on all five reels. During my testing, I found the Super Bet made a huge difference to the amount of wins I received – though doubling my wager probably offset that advantage by quite a bit.

As for features – there’s no disappointment here. The Pot of Gold Scatter starts a feature with just two landed, but you’ll want to hit three or more if you want to see the Free Spins round. The Fox Pups occur much more frequently during Free Spins and are your best chance of hitting a huge win. Also, if you are familiar with the original game, you’ll be pleased to hear that both Random Bonuses have been retained in this version of the game.

It’s always nice to see BetSoft on any list, as their games tend to have a different style to them which can often break up the monotony of an online slotting session.
