Capcom Set To Reveal “Major Title” For March 2018 Release

It has been reported that Capcom is looking to release a new game ending the fiscal year ending March 31st, 2018. No clue was given as to what the game will be or what type of game this “major title” will be, but the company behind a lot of iconic titles and franchises has people talking and speculating about what it might be.

I’m sure a lot of gamers and fans of Capcom out there who have some fond memories of the company’s past titles, having played wonderful games for hours on end and enjoyed every minute of it, and then there are likely people skeptical and leery because of Capcom’s devolving into focusing too much on DLC and microtransactions in their games. Gamers are now wondering which category of game this new title will fall into?

Well, catching wind from publication site Gematsu, it has been revealed that Capcom will release a new “major title” before March 31st, 2018, as part of the company’s “strategies and plans overview”.

This gives gamers a lot of time to ponder and think about what this mysterious new project might be, before actually being able to play the “major title”. But like most games and companies, it’s likely that Capcom will give hints later on down the line through trailers and announcements to really stir up fans interest in the upcoming product… possibly even doing so at E3 in June.

A lot of fans have been speculating that the new “major title” could be yet another Monster Hunter game. Others are saying that it could be another Resident Evil title. As for the underdog mentions by many people across various forums, some gamers noted that they would love to see a new Dino Crisis, Dragon Dogma, Devil May Cry, Viewtiful Joe, Onimusha and of course, the most iconic one of them all, the Blue Bomber himself — Mega Man.

I should note that this upcoming game could be something entirely new for all we know, so the prospect of it being something familiar could be slim to more than likely. For more information on this news regarding the upcoming “major title” you can head on over to capcom.co.jp.

With that said, what game or series would you like to see from Capcom?
