Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Digital Sales Top 2.14 Million In November

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order not only re-emerged back on the EMEAA charts, but it also looks like the mediocre game at best by EA and Respawn Entertainment has managed to attract enough people to accrue 2.14 million in digital (download) units, as per SuperData.

Coasting through by being a game that doesn’t have microtransactions and not being a complete utter mess at launch — insofar that the game works after installation — the devs found success with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order by doing the basics. And the basics, according to SuperData, have seen the game with the lightsaber-wielding protagonist moving millions of units last month.

Website gamingbolt.com sources SuperData’s December report that claims EA and Respawn’s Jedi game has outsold the 2017 botched game Star Wars: Battlefront 2 by two to one.

SuperData also goes on to say that stuff like The Mandalorian, and The Rise of Skywalker also contributed to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’s success:

“The latest installment in the series outsold its 2017 predecessor (Star Wars Battlefront II) by more than 2 to 1, selling 2.14 million digital units in November alone. The title’s first-month success is partially attributable to increased consumer awareness of the franchise (The Mandalorian, The Rise of Skywalker) and a series return to single-player only gameplay.”

We reported on the top ten best-selling games according to digital and physical sales in EMEAA (Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Australia), where the game in question jumped from number five to number three last week.

But that’s not all, the 2019 Jedi game also managed to see an uptick on the PC front in that it is the sixth highest-grossing PC game worldwide throughout November.

In addition to the above, the game also is the third highest-grossing console game for November, according to SuperData’s December report.

Lastly, website GamingBolt makes mention that EA and Motive are also working on a “very unique” Star Wars game that will launch sometime around the end of financial year 2021.
