Gabe Newell And Andrew Wilson Comment On EA Coming Back To Steam

Gabe Newell, best known as Gaben, has come forth along with Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson to comment on the return of EA on Steam. And lo and behold, EA has done what we have predicted in that EA Access — a subscription service that greedy companies love — will be coming to the Valve owned storefront.

There’s also more news to this story in that EA will publish Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order on November 15th, 2019, on Steam as a move to promote both the game and the transit back to Gaben’s store.

All of the above information comes from news.ea.com, where details on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the move back to Steam, and other content related to this situation can be accessed.

Furthermore, the portal to EA’s announcement also sees Andrew Wilson saying:

“This is the start of an exciting partnership with Valve that will see us innovating for PC players around the world. Through our subscription, great games and more, we’re excited to bring players in the Steam and Origin communities together with access to the best games, whenever and wherever they want to play.”

Gabe Newell also chimed in on the web portal to speak his thoughts on the matter and what he thinks gamers get out of all this:

“This is a good day for gamers. We’re excited to partner with EA to not only bring their great games and subscription service to Steam, but also to open up our communities to each other in an unprecedented way that will benefit players and developers around the world.”

In case you don’t know, publishers and even developers love premium subscriptions in that they are a live-service. These services allow for easy cash-flow where EA Access gives subscribers access to a broad portfolio of EA games, “valuable” member benefits, and discounts on full game purchases, expansions, in-game items, and more.

Lastly, in the coming months, folks on Steam will be able to play other games such as The Sims 4 and Unravel 2. Apex Legends, and FIFA 20; Battlefield V will hit Steam next year, and players on Origin and Steam will have the ability to play together.
