E3 2016: NiOh’s Trailer Shows New Enemies And Characters

Revealing a bit more about their game NiOh, publisher and developer Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja showcased a new E3 trailer for their Dark Souls and Witcher-like game flaunting gameplay and screenshots. The game is currently slated for PS4, and is noted to come out sometime this year.

The best way to sum up NiOh is to take Geralt of Rivia from the Witcher and place him during the old days of Japan with matchlock and blade, and mix that all together with Dark Souls and you will get this game. Not to say that this is a bad thing, because it’s surely cool looking, but I wouldn’t have thought that Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja would have made a game like this, though.

Anyways, I’m really looking forward to more gameplay videos and demos for the hack and slash yokai hunter game, seeing that it’s heavily focused on skill, timing and tactics. At the moment the game only has a few videos detailing its atmosphere, which is now accompanied by the latest E3 trailer that runs for two minutes and 15 seconds.

The video shows additional characters that look like they will cross paths and help the main protagonist, William, which is followed by ferocious and non-vestigial enemies and bosses that look like they can wreck havoc in a mere couple of hits. For those that want to see the E3 video it’s on display below.

Lastly, two pieces of info arrive, which the first is another downloadable demo release coming this August, and the second being a load of new screenshots showing even more of the game.

NiOh

The hack and slash game by Team Ninja looks pretty fun, especially since it looks so much like Dark Souls and the Witcher 3, which are two games that are pretty cool. If you are excited for NiOh it is currently slated for PS4, and is expected to come out sometime this year.
