Tokyo Game Show 2018 Will Kick-Off On September 20th

In recent news, CESA has revealed the main visual artwork for this year’s Tokyo Game Show. Additionally, the upcoming event, Tokyo Game Show 2018, is set to kick-off at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba on September 20th and will end on September 23rd.

If you’re interested in this year’s TGS do know that September is the housing month for said event. However, well before the launch of TGS 2018 comes some interesting tidbits and info from Ippei Gyoubu.

Firstly, Gyoubu has returned to do the artwork once again. If you don’t know, he’s been the one behind the key art for TGS since 2010. The newly revealed key art lies below for your viewing pleasure.

It’s worth noting that Gyoubu made a comment about TGS 2018’s new cover art. He stated that the image is inspired by the world of eSports. It’s unclear if this year’s event will feature a lot of eSports related themes/stuff or what? Sadly, only time will tell.

As noted in the introductory paragraph, the September planned event will be held at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba between September 20th and September 23rd. The first two days are reserved for media and business attendees, while the last two days are open for everyone.

As of right now, we are currently five or four and a half months away from TGS 2018, which attending publishers and developers should start informing gamers and fans alike on what to expect from their booths/shows in the coming months, so stay tuned for that.

Hopefully, TGS 2018 focuses on fun games, surprise announcements and other things to get viewers and attendees excited. Given that this year’s theme seems to focus around eSports could mean that we’ll be seeing more of competitive-like games from the Eastern market, but we’ll find out come September 20th or by visiting expo.nikkeibp.co.jp.
