Google Pixel 3 Rumored To Launch This October

The latest talk states that Google is getting ready to debut it’s next flagship the Google Pixel 3. Rumor is, it will debut in early or mid-part of October. The month of October would fit perfect as far as being consistent when the last time Google debuted the Pixel 2 and 2XL on October 19th back in 2017. The latest report states that maybe Verizon will be the cellphone provider, but consumers can also expect unlocked models to be made available as well.

According to TechRadar, more rumors are hinting that Google may unveil three new Pixels this year. Leaked code from last year with the code names – “crosshatch, “albacore” and “blueline” hinted at the new smart phones from the tech giant.

It seems Google has designed a cellphone in mind for each price-end category: the high-end, the mid-range, and a more affordable phone at the lower end of the price spectrum. The lower cost phone is rumored to sport a Snapdragon 710 chipset, and could only be offered in India; it’s unclear if the budget phone could possibly be made available in the United States.

Now let’s cover what the specs and platform has been rumored to look like on the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.

It seems all three will ship with the latest updated Android software, which would be Android P OS. Android P is said to support gestures via its new Home button, users will be able to swipe up from the bottom of the screen to view all open apps, as well as view the Google search and the most used apps that appear in the view screen. If the user swipe up again, the apps menu will appear with a twist, displaying helpful shortcuts to navigate to home via Google Maps, users can look for new power-saving features, as well as digital wellness features.

A leaked design also revealed the rear of the phone resembles the Pixel 2, having a two-toned finish and a fingerprint scanner. At this point rumor has it that the given measurements for two of the Pixel 3 devices are as follows: the Pixel 3 is said to be 5.4-inches, while the 3 XL will be 6.2-inches.

Toms Guide notes that Google plans to use Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 in both phones, but not much is rumored or leaked regarding what’s under the hood as far as how much RAM or storage will be made available. Some say at least one Pixel 3 will have a notch, leaning more toward the Pixel 3 XL, it will use an OLED screen, and will have a bezel at the bottom of the screen.

Both the Pixel 3 and 3XL will sport dual camera lenses for selfies, while the rear-facing lens will remain singular. From photo images it seems it may be all glass, indicating it may support wireless charging, as well as a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a USB-C port, but no 3.5mm headphone port. Stay tuned for more updates as rumors and talk continue to surface.
