According to Android Headlines, Huawei’s Mate 20 is already on the way if certain leaks on the Chinese web portal Weibo are to be believed. The Mate 20 will be a clear divergence from the Mate SE, and is reportedly similar in specs to the Mate RS Porsche.

The Mate SE came out of the box running Android 7.0 Nougat, but updates have brought it up to 8.0 Oreo. Two colors are offered in gray and gold, the security fingerprint sensor is located on the back of the device, and the fingerprint sensor can also work as a quick access to notifications once its setup. The microphone is located at the top of the device, and the single speaker is at the bottom. It comes with USB port, and 3.5mm headphone jack. The Mate SE has a 3334mAh battery which is said to last up to a day, with average daily usage, but charging has been stated can take up to 2hr from a low battery to get to a full charge. Where-as the Mate 20 is expected to run a Kirin 980, and will feature a 18:9 display with a 40W charger.

The Mate SE carries a 4GB RAM, a Kirin 659 processor chipset, Octa-Core internal memory storage of 64GB, a micro SDXC up to 256 GB, and Huawei’s Android + EMUI 5.1. It should be noted this is an unlocked GSM device. Additional specs for the new Mate 20 haven’t been detailed yet, but they’re expected to arrive at some point in August or September.

There’s also going to be a clear difference between camera features as well. The Mate SE main dual camera is 16mp and 2mp with a 8mp front camera, which allows for portrait mode setting. This handset has a sleek aluminum design frame, and the retail price ranges from $229 – $250, depending on what promotions are being offered. The Mate 20 will reportedly come with a 42mp camera, and expected to upgrade the photographic capabilities of Huawei’s mobile line.

The official announcement is rumored to arrive during the fourth quarter of the year.
