Motorola 2018 Moto G6 Mid-Range Smartphone Specs

Motorola has a line of G series smartphones that are being offered to the consumers throughout 2018, in particular there is one that will be discussed in this article, the Moto G6, this mid-range handset launched in the United States in May 2018, and just recently launched in Australia at the beginning of July.

This 5.7-inch new edge-to-edge HD + Max Vision touchscreen display has a resolution of 1080 x 2160 mega pixels. The average retail price ranges between $200 (with a provider plan,) and without a provider plan $230-$250 in the United States. Users can expect to see and feel an all around scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla glass casing with a 3D contoured back for a comfortable grip. The fingerprint sensor is located in the front center of the device, with three microphones at the bottom right of the fingerprint sensor, and a speaker located at the top-front of the device. The Moto G6 is available in the color: Indigo Black.

Now let’s talk what’s under the hood, according to the Motorola website, the Moto G6 Operating System runs on Android 8.0 Oreo, the hardware consist of a Snapdragon 450 processor 1.8GHz octa-core, the US version comes with 3GB RAM, (other countries state 4GB RAM) with 64GB of internal storage, and uses a microSB with expandable storage up to 128GB. The battery size is a 3000 mAh, and average battery testing has rated the battery life as average for normal usage, and fair for more intense usage (such as heavy gaming) on an average 4-6 hours before needing a recharge. A Turbo-charger is included in the box giving about 1 hour to a hour and a half for full charging. The Moto G6 still sports a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB-C port.

The cameras on this device are not bad for a mid-range phone, but don’t expect the best; it will pass with a pretty decent score, though. The main rear camera has a slight protrude with dual cameras, and a 12mp and a 5 mp with f/1.8 aperture lens.

The rear video lens records up to 1080p, with time- lapse video as well as slow motion video. The front camera offers 16mp for selfie and group mode shots, as well as video capture up to 1080p (30 fps) with time-lapse video and slow motion. The Moto G6 is listed as being water repellent, with a nano- coating inside and out.
