Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown Trailer Reveals Q1 2019 Release Date

Bandai Namco has released a new Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown video trailer. The new trailer showcased at Gamescom 2018 is joined by the news of a delay, where the game will no longer release this year but on January 18th, 2019, across PS4 and Xbox One and on February 1st, 2019, for PC via Steam.

According to Bandai Namco, the official Ace Combat 7 webpage explains that this game will bring the familiar “signature enthralling story” and “explosive aerial combat action.” Additionally, you can see some of that right here through a newly posted trailer where only the best of the best will triumph:

“Set on the same Usean continent as in ACE COMBAT 3 and ACE COMBAT 4, the story revolves around the Second Usean Continental War, following an attack by an army of pilotless jets.”

According to the memo sent out at this year’s Gamescom, we learn that players will find themselves part of the “Penitentiary Unit.” This unit is a military force formed entirely of criminals who have been tasked with defending against a new threat.

The 2019 game will also feature brand new weapons and flight controls. Additionally, a wider range of tactics, new futuristic super-weapons, and planes like the A-10C Thunderbolt II, F-35C, and Rafale M will be in the game.

Lastly, Ace Combat 7 Brand Director, Kazutoki Kono, relayed the following information on bandainamcoent.eu regarding the upcoming flight sim:

“The team and I have been working diligently to produce an experience that will add another action-packed chapter to the ACE COMBAT franchise, but more importantly, be worthy of your time. Thank you all once again for your patience, support, and continued enthusiasm, and we’ll see you in the skies soon!”

If you want to play Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, the game is due out on January 18th, 2019, for home consoles and on February 1st, 2019, for PC via Steam.
