According to the news page on the Gamescom 2018 webpage comes news that the opening ceremony will include world premieres and new game announcements. Company announcements to be made include Ubisoft, THQ Nordic, Deep Silver, and Bandai Namco.
If you don’t already know, Gamescom 2018 will kick-off from August 21st to August 25th, 2018. The event will bring a plethora of gaming news and new releases front and center, and it looks like the opening ceremony will do just the same.
Starting on August 21st at 11.00 A.M., this year’s Gamescom will open its doors with a “number of special surprises.” International publishers such as Ubisoft and THQ Nordic will be presenting global premieres at the Gamescom opening ceremony.
THQ Nordic plans to introduce an unannounced title based on one of the publisher’s “established brands.” Publisher Square Enix and developer Dontnod will premiere the first trailer of Life is Strange 2; Koch Media and its publishing label Deep Silver will show off something new, too.
Bandai Namco will attend Gamescom 2018 opening ceremony and will announce a brand new game.
If all of that sounds interesting to you, attendees will be able to play some of these newly announced titles by paying the named publishers’ booths in the entertainment area a visit. Additionally, the games will be playable directly after the presentation.
