Sega has announced its lineup of games that will appear at Gamescom 2018 and titles that will be playable at the event. The summer games convention is set to kick-off from August 21st to August 25th, 2018, and will be held at the Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany.
Folks looking to attend Gamescom 2018 will be able to take some games for a spin or watch them in action late this month. Thanks to a half-written memo that Sega sent out (that we had to fill in) you can look over what will be present at the company’s booth right here.
First up, we have Team Sonic Racing, Total War: Three Kingdoms, Valkyria Chronicles 4, Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise, Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight, and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight. The only non-playable game happens to be Football Manager 2019.
Without wasting any more time, you can read each of the present and non-present games that will be at Sega’s booth, along with the bio of each game, too:
Table of Contents
Team Sonic Racing
“Team Sonic Racing, developed by award-winning studio Sumo Digital, is the ultimate arcade and fast-paced competitive style racing experience, featuring your favourite characters from across the Sonic Universe. Visitors to the stand will have the opportunity to race on an all new track, Ice Mountain, and experience two brand new playable teams.”
Total War: Three Kingdoms
“Creative Assembly’s Total War: THREE KINGDOMS will also showcase never-seen-before content and consumers will get the chance to go hands-on with the game for the very first time. Players will witness an exclusive look at the exotic lands of ancient China in a campaign map flythrough before being thrust into the midst of a night-time ambush battle. Sun Jian’s army, led by Sun Ren and Sun Quan, must defend against waves of incoming heroes and warriors or choose to make a break for freedom.”
Valkyria Chronicles 4
“In the year 1935 EC, the continent of Europa is split between the Federation and the Empire. As the Imperial army dominates the Eastern Theater, the Federate forces launch Operation Northern Cross, a last-ditch effort to tip the scales. The commander of Squad E will test his will against the bonds of his allies, the weight of their trust, and the sacrifices they all must make. This is a tale of a bittersweet adolescence: the failures and triumphs of young hearts struggling to find themselves amidst the chaos of the battlefield.”
Football Manager 2019 (not playable)
“Football Manager 2019 will make its Gamescom debut this year as an official partner of the Bundesliga, with an activation that will put football fans in the firing line for questioning from renowned ESPN Football Journalist, Raphael Honigstein. After they’ve been grilled, they’ll get to line-up in front of a Football Manager themed step and repeat for an authentic Football Manager photo and leave with a Football Manager notebook. A must have for would-be managers! The game itself will not be playable.”
Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise
“Take control of Kenshiro as he searches for his lost love Yuria in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Lost Paradise can be enjoyed as a completely standalone experience and will be playable at Gamescom.”
Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight / Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight
“Getting started in P3D/P5D is simple – choose a song, select a difficulty level, select your dancer(s), and get on with the show! After that, all you need to do is time button presses with the on-screen prompts in time with the music, and you’ll be jamming along with your favorite Persona series characters. Both games will be playable!”
As noted above, you can expect Gamescom 2018 to go live on August 21st, which will end on August 25th, 2018. You can learn more about Sega by hitting up sega.com.
