Earlier this year the electronics company Anker released its new PowerWave 7.5 wireless charging pad and stand. Both new chargers are equipped to work with providing fast wireless charging for all Apple’s latest iPhones, including the new iPhone XS, iPhone XS iPhone Max, iPhone XR, and iPhone X. Older handsets such as the iPhone 8 Plus/8 are also included, along with 10W fast charging for the latest Samsung’s handsets that includes the S9/ S9+/ S8 / S8+ / S7 / and Note 8.
The Anker PowerWave 7.5 charging pad and stand both provide high-speed charging, universal compatibility, with a rubber-painted surface, and the state-of-the-art Internal Cooling which is a fan that helps charge up to a hour faster than most chargers, both the pad and stand come in the color white.
The Anker PowerWave 7.5 Stand has advanced safety systems that are combined with up-to-date technology to create PowerWave wireless charging by Anker. The highly-efficient chipset and premium components ensures a reliable and high-speed charge each charging session. The high-tech technology can determine the battery status and administers the appropriate voltage. The PowerWave 7.5 Stand has twin charging coils allowing for watching videos in landscape orientation, or stand in portrait mode for web browing and perfect 60- degree angle for Face ID, all while still charging, and no need to remove phone cases, the PowerWave 7.5 stand can charge directly through cases even up to 5mm thick (this includes Otterboxes cases.) The Anker PowerWave 7.5 Stand retails for $49.99.
The Anker PowerWave 7.5 Wireless Charging Pad is very similar to the Anker PowerWave Charging Stand in providing the same specs for charging the latest iPhones (7.W) and the latest Androids (10W) and it also makes use of the Quick Charge 3.0 wall charger. The Anker Charging Pad also features a built-in cooling system that prevents slowdown and overheating while charging at high speeds. Macrumors did report that the PowerWave charging Pad is a little bulkier than most charging pads because of the fan underneath, which is something to consider.
The PowerWave 7.5 Charging Pad has a soft LED indicator which shows the charging status of the device, and just like the Anker charging stand protective phone cases do not have to be removed while charging. Note: Both the Anker PowerWave Stand and Pad requires at least iOS 11.2 to access 7.5W with iPhones, and both PowerWave chargers are incompatible with the wall chargers that are provided with the handsets. Also metal attachments or credit cards will interfere with charging. The company recommend using the included Quick Charge 3.0 wall adapter with an output of 12V/1.5A with both charging devices. The Anker PowerWave 7.5 Wireless Charging Pad retails for $45.99 on Amazon.
