Blackberry’s Motion Smartphone Receives Optimization For Android 8.0

In January 2018, the company TCL released its 5.5-inch Blackberry Motion smartphone, the design of this sporty yet up-to-date Blackberry speaks for itself. According to Phone Arena, the Blackberry Motion has received optimization updates to work properly with the Android 8.0 Oreo release. The phone has had a tough time staying in stock at Best Buy and Amazon since its release.

The Blackberry Motion has been designed to last longer, to go further and to work more effortlessly than previous Blackberry outings. The strong aluminum frame adds durability for those unexpected drops and bumps along the way, and the soft-grip texture of the back of the handset allows for the security while holding it.

The front screen provides a premium anti-scratch display, including a proprietary nano-diamond anti-scratch coating that protects against whatever the day may bring, with a display screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 IPS LCD. It also has an IP67 rating, and resistant to various spills and dust.

The major dedicated keys all sit to the left of the handset, including the volume up/down buttons, the lock power button, the BlackBerry Convenience Key, and the Fingerprint Key, which has Home key functions, (the Home button doubles as the Fingerprint Sensor.) The handset originally runs on OS Android 7.1 Nougat, but as mentioned above, it’s been updated to support Android 8.0.

The specifications under the hood for the Blackberry Motion, has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Octa -Core 2.0GHz , Adreno 506, 650MHz GPU, with expandable memory via microSD memory card up to 2TB, with 4GB of RAM, 32GB Flash. The smartphone offers a USB type-C and USB 2.0 ports.

The 4000mAh battery, provides up to 32 hours of battery life, with the Qualcommm Quick charge 3.0 and BlackBerry Boost mode allows for faster charging. The handset offers Bluetooth 4.2 and NFC technolog, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Blackberry Motion comes with a rear 12mp auto-focus camera, offering 4K video recording at 30fps, dual Tone LED Flash, 4x digital zoom, and HDR 6-element f2.0 lens. The front camera offers a 8mp fixed-focus, f2.2 with wide selfie mode and image & video stabilization, and 1080p HD video recording at 30 fps.
