Square Enix To Appear At Comic-Con 2019, FFVII Remake Midgar Screenshots Surface

Square Enix seems to be active this week in that they took to Final Fantasy VII Remake’s Twitter account to relay that they’ll be at San Diego Comic-Con 2019. Additionally, the forthcoming PS4 JRPG set for 2020 has new screenshots via said account showing off the first sector of Midgar.

As it stands now, publication site japantoday.com reports that Square Enix is making Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VII Remake soundtracks and how they are being put on double-vinyl picture discs and will become available on January 31st, 2020.

The two vinyl disc will feature select music from both the OG FFVII and the remake and will run for 7,777 yen over in Japan, and $77.77 in North America (before tax). You can check out the duo of discs right here:

Moreover, and as mentioned above, the official FFVII Remake Twitter account reveals that Square Enix and crew will be at this Comic-Con at booth 3829. Once there, Cloud’s Hardy Daytona will be at the stand, but it’s unclear if gameplay or a demo reel will be there. While we wait for answers you can check out the announcement here:

And as of today, the official account offers a closer look at FFVII Remake’s “Sector 1” of Midgar via two screenshots. The tweet containing the two new screens details that the planet’s Mako energy is extracted by the Mako Reactor — as seen in the background.

The first screen shows the reactor in the distance, while the second image shows the scale of the bellowing device with Cloud standing in front:

Whether you like FFVII Remake or not, do know that more info will likely come out of Comic-Con 2019 when July 18th rolls around — given that Square will have a booth at the event. In the meantime, the JRPG is scheduled to drop on March 3rd, 2020, for PS4.
