It looks like Capcom is trying to build up curiosity in its fanbase by bringing unannounced work to an upcoming event dubbed Jump Festa 2020. I’m not sure what this new or old IP is, or if there are more than just one, but we’ll find out soon come December 21st, 2019.
Thanks to nintendolife.com, it seems as if late December will be the mark for something special… hopefully. The website sources ryokutya2089.com and says that Capcom will be showing off “four playable titles” in total.
Sadly, we won’t be getting four new unannounced reveals given that two of those slots are filled as we speak, which means that we could witness at least one or two new reveals.
On the topic of two of the four slots filled, both websites say that Capcom has confirmed it will be showing Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection and Monster Hunter World: Iceborne.
Whether Capcom pulls one unannounced title or two out of its sleeve, whatever they are, they’ll be playable at Jump Festa 2020. Said event is set to kick-off at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, on December 21st and will end on December 22nd.
Moreover, ever since 2017, Capcom’s managing corporate officer Ryozo Tsujimoto has been dropping hints that he wants to explore older IPs, but the team reportedly didn’t have the development staff to do so and wanted to see more requests from gamers and fans alike.
Nevertheless, it looks like Tsujimoto and Capcom are getting around to filling positions on deck and have enough fan interest to move along with dormant IPs rising sometime in 2020 and beyond as per videogameschronicle.com.
With all of that said, what games do you think will come out of this December event? And most importantly, what titles or IPs would you like to see Capcom reveal at Jump Festa 2020?
