Nightdive Studios Shows Off System Shock Remake Gameplay In New Video Trailer

Not to get confused with System Shock 3 by OtherSide Entertainment (which will be funded by Tencent), System Shock Remake is yet another upcoming game set in the same sci-fi world as the controversial third title. Unlike System Shock 3, System Shock Remake has a new gameplay trailer up showing off the latest alpha footage.

During one of the many digital events that are up to take E3 2020’s place, Guerrilla Collective has stepped forward to show off all sorts of video games during its three-day digital event. Running from June 13th to June 15th, 2020, one of the many games that popped up during the first day is Nightdive Studios’ System Shock Remake.

To give a little context behind the game that you are about to see, System Shock Remake was first released in 1994 by Looking Glass Studios. However, many years later, Nightdive Studios started development on the remake in 2016 with the launch of its Kickstarter campaign.

Originally planned to release in 2018, the game is now set to debut sometime in 2020. In the meantime, you can check out the latest alpha gameplay trailer right here:

“After two decades, Nightdive Studios is rebooting and re-imagining the original System Shock. We will keep the new game true to the classic experience, keeping all the things you loved while giving today’s gamers the modern look and feel expected from a great game.”

If you don’t know, you can play an alpha demo of System Shock Remake right now on PC via Steam or GOG. It’s also worth noting that the demo is available for free for a limited time, which means you don’t have to spend any money to get a taste of the latest version of said remake.

Finally, System Shock Remake will release either sometime this year or next year for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. More information on this game sits on systemshock.com.
